My sweetie can crawl!

Yep, it's the truth, Aidan is making his way all over the house! I think crawling has had an effect on his hearing though. It is the oddest thing, he can hear a bottle being shaken three rooms away, but when he is crawling to eat the Gamecube I can say "Aidan", "Pumpkin", "no", "stop" and he doesn't hear a word of it!
I told him to quit growing up so fast, but he doesn't listen to that either!

Charlie has come home!!

I can’t believe it, but my boyfriend found Charlie in the sink Saturday morning! We are so glad he is safe! We have made his cage a little more kitty-proof, and hopefully will not be lunch anytime soon!

As for Bocephis, as I said he is a great mouser, moler, squirreler, etc. Now he has added skunker! Actually, we are not so sure he got the skunk, but we are definite that the skunk got him!! He came in this evening, and WHEW! Within seconds my house reeked! I quickly shooed him back out. I then realized that while shooing, I touched him and now I stink! I tried soap, but no luck. I have heard that tomato paste will take the stink away, but of course, I don’t have any. Hey, I do have a can of Ro-tel, I wonder if that’ll work. Maybe I will try it, what’s the worst that can happen? If I do, I am sure I will smell “zesty” for work tomorrow!

An enemy among us…

There is an enemy in my home. He walks among us as one of the family, watching us with those piercing green eyes. Unquestionably he is wondering if we know the truth. The extents of his sins are unknown, but we know he has sinned.

It all happened Saturday afternoon. I came home and immediately noticed the signs of a struggle. There had been a break-in. I began looking everywhere for our beloved family member, Charles, but he was no where to be found. Had he been kidnapped? Had he run for his life and was still in hiding? Was he murdered? This last thought was too much for me to bear. Then all of the sudden, I saw the perpetrator! I was sure it was him, although he wouldn’t admit it. In fact, he would not speak a word. But those evil, piercing eyes exposed him for what he was!

It has been five days now, and no sign of Charlie. I fear the worse, but still I hope that he managed to escape his attacker. I imagine him free, roaming in the wild, like he always dreamed. Maybe I will see him again one day. Perhaps he will come out of hiding, and dare to climb across my walls. For now, I will have to live with the uncertainty. Every time I look at Bocephis, I will wonder if he is truly evil enough to eat his own “brother”, I sure hope he is not!

This blog is in honor of Charles, our beloved Gecko. We hope that you escaped, and look forward to seeing you again! As for you Bocephis, your a BAD KITTY!!

The greatest feeling in the world!

For the past month my boyfriend and I have argued about if the alignment was off on the front end of my car. Every time the subject would come up I would insist that the car drove fine and he would swear that it needed an alignment. It always ended with me saying "Fine...Whatever!" Which, by the way, is code for "shut-up!"

Saturday afternoon, I took the car to get 2 new front tires. Of course, my boyfriend said to make sure I got it aligned. However, since I knew I was RIGHT and he was WRONG, I asked them just to check the alignment. Oh...how good it felt when they came out and showed us the results. The front-end of my car was perfectly aligned! Now, being the wonderful person that I am, I made sure not to rub it in. I simply said "hum, and we were sure it needed an alignment." What I really wanted to do was chant "I was right and you were wrong", but I figured it best not to. I am sure his ego hurt a bit anyway, because deep deep down inside, He knew that I was right.
