who has time to blog?

well, thanks to my good friend laurel, i no longer have time to blog. why, you ask? because i am too busy flickring. that's right, another seemingly useless addiction, that i devote every spare minute to and sometimes minutes that should be spent doing other, more important things. for the flickr newby, it is a site where people come together to share their photos, meet friends, and join fun groups. or at least that's what they'll tell you. my belief is that they must be sending some kind of subliminal messages directly into your brain, which then makes you uncontrollably check your flickr home page before any other site on the web! once there, there is no chance for escape! they have you hooked! and that is just the beginning! pretty soon the "contacts" start! at first it's wonderful, new friends, people to comment on your photos, and you comment on theirs in return, a beautiful happy place filled with peace! then one day, you open your contacts page and - what happened?!? all of the sudden you have a slew of them! you can't remember where they came from or why you added them and you haven't commented on poor chrysanthemum-mom's photos in a month! the guilt overwhelms you! and that's not all, don't forget about the groups! all those contact's will surely invite you to all of there very prestigious and important groups! you know, like the in the fridge group and the for the love of duck and geese group, oh, and don't for get the games! there are scavenger hunts and tag and scattagories! dang, that reminds me i need to go tag my public toilet pic, and check to see if anyone has tagged out my newest pic and oh, look, a new comment!!
